Spotted a young Asian cat with a Mohawk driving around campus at Ohio State. Lucky him. Makes me want to transfer to an international campus so I can get my RS2.

You seem to have accidentally a verb.

Join the club. We have one with an R8 currently here at Purdue. Had a guy with a 458 italia but he traded it for a bentley. Also ignoring the m5s, m6s, the jaguar f-type, the c63 AMGs, the Mustangs, Camaros. Or the Porsches or all kinds. Im sure theres a few other jalops that can attest to the silliness of the cars on campus here

I live in a predominately Asian area, so we see many international guys in GT-Rs and R8s and whatnot. I assume they're just dudes whose parents are affluent.

Yea, I've seen many young Koreans with mad expensive cars. I've seen BMW M6, jaguar XJ, maserati gran turismo, Mercedes SL on OSU campus
Fairly common thing

So here are two fun relevant stories.
First one. I went to school at Carnegie Mellon and there were a fair share of rich international students with all sorts of fancy cars. There was this one Asian girl who owned a then brand new E60 BMW M5. I'm 95% sure she just asked daddy for the most expensive fully loaded BMW 5er and ended up with that since she did not seem to be that into it. Anyways, one day I saw her indicate (already a big deal for a BMW driver) to turn into one of the school parking lots, and decided to have myself an experiment. The entrance to that parking lot had a crosswalk and a sign that students have right of way. So I decided to walk across pretending not to be watching where I'm going and texting while keeping her my peripheral vision. Halfway through the crosswalk I realized that she wasn't stopping at all. I looked up and saw her screaming, closed eyes, and waving her hands in the air as her car continued to creep forward. Fucking seriously?! THAT is your reaction to someone walking infront of your car? Not only should you not have a brand new 507hp V10 BMW, but you shouldn't be behind the wheel of ANY car at all.
Second story isn't as fun. 2 summers ago I was in the market for a used convertible. After combing through Craigslist, Cars, Autotrader, and all sorts of forums, I found a beautiful gunmetal gray 2001 BMW Z3 3.0 for sale in Boston. I exchanged a few emails with the guy and arranged to meet up with him. When he gave me the address, I immediately recognized it as an MIT student parking garage. I arrived there with my friend at the time specified, but we couldn't get into the garage so we waited outside. Then I see a Maserati Gran Turismo and Porsche 911 Turbo turn the corner and pull into the garage. I text the guy again and ask where he is (10 mins late at that point) and he replies that he just got there. Then I see him get out of the passenger seat of the Maserati. Turns out the guy was a Turkish student at MIT and needed to sell off his cars before heading home for the summer. When we went down stairs, we found the Maserati, the 911 Turbo, a F430, a GT-R, another 911 Turbo, and the Z3 that all belonged to him and his friends. We test drove the BMW, but in the end it was way too sketchy of a deal (he didn't want to let me take it to a mechanic to inspect it or anything) so I backed out. Ended up buying a 225hp 2005 Audi TT roadster a week later from a dealer specializing in used Audis and BMWs and had a blast* with it until I traded it for a 5.0 Mustang 5 months later.
*Almost the whole time was a blast. To read the part that wasn't, see here: http://forums.finalgear.com/post-your-car/…

True. I hear that a school in DC has the students with the nicest cars (SLS GT, Maserati GT, Ferrari 599), except they're not even international students, but the sons of politicians. I think it's George Mason Univ.
